4th, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto.
During the conversation, events and the current situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border have been conferred. It was noted that peaceful solution of conflict is needed, following the previously reached agreements on a ceasefire and withdrawal of troops. Necessity of restoration of destroyed infrastructure and peacebuilding work in the Batken region with the support of Hungary and the European Union have been discussed. Mr. Szijjarto expressed his condolences to the victims of the conflict and noted the importance of achieving peace and stability via diplomatic efforts. The parties have also discussed the issues on the opening of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary and direct flights from Budapest to Bishkek.
